Notifications

What it is

A notification points at something that changed. Opening it goes to the related case or task.

Where to find it

Web: Notifications. Unread items are marked. The list can be filtered by type, or limited to unread. Mark all as read clears the list in one step. The header also has a short notification menu.

How it works

TaskShot writes a notification for a new task, a deadline, an upload, or a status change. Browser notifications can alert someone when the web app is in the background. The phone has its own alerts for field work.

Subscriptions are separate. A subscription is "tell me when this case gets new media." A notification is the message that arrives. See Subscriptions.

Good to know

Desktop announcements are another channel. Those are broadcasts and polls through the Task Desktop app, not the ordinary notification list. See Announcements.
